Description

The non-profit international musical organization Lyrica Classic presents a concert of choral sacred music as part of the international festival "Spreading New Music Around the World", dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sergei Rachmaninov.

On February 10, in the Cathedral Chamber, Lyrica Classic presented the world premiere of the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom" by the American composer Kurt Sander, commissioned by the Russian-American Musical Institute named by Patriarch Tikhon. The liturgy was performed by a giant ensemble of soloists Canticum Festum under the direction of its art director and conductor Lyubov Shangina.

The concert featured video footage created by renowned American digital artist Sue Slagle (also known as SUE-C). Sue's custom creations based on the music to be performed and are projected onto a screen on the stage, creating a unique experience and atmosphere for the event.
