The House of Culture "GES-2" in partnership with the Pianissimo Festival presents a program of summer concerts of piano music. The festival is attended by leading young performers from Russia and abroad.

The main idea of the Pianissimo Festival is to introduce listeners to the younger generation of musicians in new spaces for academic music. Among the halls where the festival participants played are the State Hermitage Museum, the St. Petersburg Manege and the ballroom of the Kulm Hotel in St. Moritz, Switzerland. Since 2022, Pianissimo has also been held in Moscow, at the GES-2 House of Culture.

Dmitry Shishkin (b. 1992, Russia) is a pianist. He has been playing piano since he was two years old. In 2015 he graduated from the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (class of Eliso Virsaladze). Then he trained under the guidance of Epifanio Comis at the Vincenzo Bellini Conservatory in Catania (Italy) and under the guidance of Arie Vardi at the Hanover Graduate School of Music, Theater and Media. In 2013, he won the III Prize at the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition in Bolzano (Italy). Winner of the Queen Elizabeth Competition in Brussels (2016). In 2017, he was awarded the first prize at the Top of the World International Piano Competition in Tromsø (Norway). In 2018, he has won the first prize at the International Competition of Performers in Geneva. In 2019, he yas won the II Prize and a silver medal at the International Tchaikovsky Competition (Moscow–St. Petersburg). Dmitry has recorded several solo CDs with works by Chopin, Wagner, Elgar, Paderewski, Rachmaninov, Scriabin, Medtner and Tchaikovsky.
