The first shot of the film shows us the kitchen with a lot of pots, pans, ladles and colanders. It is the realm of the great magician, composer and kitchen wizard Gioachino Rossini. This is his creative kitchen in the literal sense of the word. Rossini sings arias from his own popular operas. Rossini's cycle of piano pieces dedicated to entrees and desserts is well known. The maestro is accompanied by a chorus of cheerful cooks. Even vegetables come to life under Rossini's magic hands and they also sing "Trio Tomatoe” or cavatina “ Salute”.

"Tales of the Old Piano". Gioachino Rossini

It is a gala performance with the participation of dramatic artists and dance groups, winners of the National Award for Children and Youth Dance "Sacred Spring".

The performance tells about the adventures of Matvei and Egor accompanied by Rodion Shchedrin and Igor Stravinsky's music. Fire Evil flies around the world and burns the harvest of peaceful farmers. One day it takes away Matvei's mother, Nastasya. A brave young man together with his friend Egor goes to save Nastasya. In search of his enemy Matvei gains  spiritual maturity, becomes worthy of his father's sword and saves the villagers from the scourge of the Fire Evil.

The film tells a story of a brilliant composer whose talent sparkled since his short childhood.  It was really short because at the age of 13 he was accepted to the St. Petersburg Conservatory, the youngest student ever to be admitted. He started adult life too early, he did not play enough childish games, so he remembered his childhood dreams all his life and wrote fairy-tale operas for children. His childhood passed in Russia's Yekaterinoslav province, he called himself a "steppe boy", lived in the sounds and harmonies of folk songs, the rustle of herbs, the voices of birds, piano pieces of world classics played by his mother.

Animated movie 

The film tells the story of Robert Schuman, his life and creative work. He could have been a talented pianist. But he invented the device to prop up his fingers while practicing. The idea was to strengthen them and develop independence, but instead, two fingers on his right hand were permanently injured. As a result Schuman became a great composer and publisher of a music magazine. He fell in love with a talented pianist Clara Wiek - the daughter of his professor - and married her against his will. 
The film is a romantic story based on the composer's personal notes and his drawings on the margins of sheet music.
