A Conversation on Pedagogy: "The Path to Mastery"

From March 26 to 29, 2026, the Moscow Helikon Opera Music Theatre will host the IV All-Russian Cello Academy—an educational event for professional cello performers, students, and graduates of music schools.

The academy will feature open masterclasses by renowned cellists, lectures by professionals on topics relevant to musicians, and a final concert featuring all the teachers and students who participated in the academy's masterclasses.

On March 28, a discussion on pedagogy, "The Path to Mastery," was held, featuring Maria Zhuravleva,

cello teacher at the Central Music School (AIS) and author of the book "Maybe My Child Is Mozart?" and his own teaching method for beginning cellists, and Alexey Vasiliev, cellist, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Rector of the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory, professor, and Artistic Director of the St. Petersburg Conservatory Symphony Orchestra.
