P. I. Tchaikovsky. Returning to Vienna

A unique concert, symbolizing the "return" of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky to Vienna.

The program of the event included works from the composer’s planned performance in 1892 (the First Piano Concerto in the author’s version and a suite from The Nutcracker ballet), as well as some arias from operas by Mozart, his musical idol. The International Exhibition of Music and Theatre (Vienna, 1892) was originally planned to be dedicated to his death centenary.

Dmitry Shishkin (piano), Laureate of the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition and

Vasilisa Berzhanskaya (mezzo-soprano), Laureate of the Elena Obraztsova International Competition of Young Opera Singers took part in the concert.
