W.A. Mozart Night in Tarbes

Description

The National Orchestra of the Capitol of Toulouse conducted by Maestro Christophe Eschenbach, David Fry and the famous French chamber choir Accentus will perform two great works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, united by one key - Piano Concerto No. 20 and Requiem.

The Piano Concerto is one of Mozart's most dramatic and innovative works, despite the fact that it was written and performed in extreme haste: the score was completed on February 10, and the premiere took place the very next day. According to the composer's father, Leopold, the piano part was recorded only as a sketch, and Mozart played the rest from memory. He didn't even have time to rehearse the third movement with the orchestra.

Requiem is one of Mozart's most mystical unfinished lifetime works, which he worked on until his death on the night of December 4-5, 1791. This is a funeral mass written in the canonical Latin text. Despite its incompleteness, Requiem has become one of the composer's most famous works.
