Concert of the Mariupol Variety Symphony Orchestra of the Donetsk Philharmonic

This concert is a landmark event of the festival, a symbol of professional courage and faithful service to the musical art! The Mariupol Pop Symphony Orchestra is the youngest collective of the Donetsk Philharmonic, created on the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of the Donetsk People's Republic from among the talented musicians of Mariupol devoted to their hometown after its liberation. Today, the sister city of St. Petersburg, Mariupol, is going through an important stage of restoring peaceful life, and by creating a cultural bridge between the cities, we are contributing to the development of the cultural life of the city.

The center of the program is the vocal–symphonic poem "War Letters" by Valery Gavrilin, the performance of which is dedicated to the anniversary of the composer. Accompanied by the Mariupol Orchestra, it was performed by the president of the Festival Oksana Fedorova, soloist of the Mariinsky Theater Viktor Korotich and the Children's Choir of Radio and Television of St. Petersburg.

In the second part of the concert, popular classics in pop and jazz processing, music of the Soviet years, and patriotic songs created under the impression of the dramatic events of our days, performed by soloists of the Mariupol Pop Symphony Orchestra and the Donetsk Philharmonic: Alexander Paretsky (baritone), Anna Bratus (soprano), Inna Domnikova (soprano) will be performed, Anatoly Minyailo (tenor).
