Night of the Arts

On November 4, 2023, as part of the “Night of Arts” project, a concert “Art Unites” was held in the Column Hall of the Noble Assembly of the city of Tula, which we present to your attention.

Programme:

- Sergey Taneyev. "Piano Quartet in E major". This is a true masterpiece in which the composer’s melodic gift was revealed.

- Robert Schumann. "Piano Quartet in E-flat major", dedicated to his friend and patron, Count Matvey Vielgorsky, an amateur cellist who took part in the premiere performance of the quartet.

- Honored Artist of Russia Yakov Soloviev (piano).

- String trio "Strings": Honored Artist of Russia Stepan Yakovich (violin), Olga Zhmaeva (viola), Arseny Kotlyarevsky (cello).

Honored Artist of Russia Stepan Yakovich is a musician of bright and original talent. As a soloist and as a chamber performer, he has performed at the best concert venues with outstanding conductors and musicians of our time; took part in many major festivals and music events in Russia and abroad.

Laureate of international competitions, Olga Zhmaeva performs in Russia and abroad solo and as part of chamber ensembles. Since 2012 he has been working at the Bolshoi Theater of Russia, and since 2014 he has been concertmaster of the viola group.

Arseny Kotlyarevsky is active in concert activities: he constantly plays in different cities of Russia and abroad, performs as a soloist and ensemble player and is the accompanist of the Bolshoi Theater cello group.
