Description

On October 2, the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory will host the continuation of concert readings (performances of submitted scores) featuring works by the laureates of the 4th "Partitura" All-Russian Competition for Young Composers. This session will showcase works by young composers in the categories of "Small-Scale Symphonic Work" and "Choral Music."

The contestants' music will be performed by the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra, under the artistic direction of Ivan Nikiforchin. Conducting the orchestra will be Filipp Selivanov, an international competition laureate and conductor at the Helikon-Opera Moscow Music Theatre. The Moscow Conservatory Chamber Choir will also perform, conducted by Alexander Solovyev, Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation.

The winners will be announced on November 20 at a gala concert in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. They will receive cash prizes and extensive media support from the competition’s partner, the Orpheus Radio and TV Center.

The "Partitura" competition is organized by the Foundation for Innovative Development of Culture, Education, and Science (FIRKON) with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, and the Russian Composers' Union. Project partners include the Moscow Conservatory, the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre, the Russian National Museum of Music, the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra (MGASO), and the Orpheus Radio and TV Center. The General Partner is the Russian Music Society.
