Dedication to Alexander Buzlov
CelloQuest is the first television cello music competition and festival in memory of Alexander Buzlov.
Mstislav Rostropovich called Alexander Buzlov "cellist number one in the 21st century". A graduate of the Moscow Conservatory in the class of Professor Natalia Gutman, Alexander Buzlov was one of the most brilliant musicians of his generation. His sudden death was a huge loss.
CelloQwest is not only a tribute to the memory of an outstanding master, but also an opportunity to discover new names in the field of cello art.
As part of the competition and festival, a concert in memory of the great master was held on May 27.
The concert featured:
