Alexander Ramm's Master Class

Description

Master Class of laureate of international competitions Alexander Ramm as part of the CelloQwest competition-festival in memory of Alexander Buzlov.

Alexander Ramm is one of the most gifted and sought-after Russian cellists of the new generation. In 2023, A. Ramm served on the jury of the International Tchaikovsky Competition, becoming one of the youngest judges in the history of the competition. Since 2024, he has been teaching at the Moscow Conservatory.

CelloQuest is the first television cello music competition-festival in memory of Alexander Buzlov.

It is no coincidence that the competition-festival is named after cellist Alexander Buzlov. A graduate of the Moscow Conservatory in the class of Professor Natalia Gutman, he was one of the most outstanding musicians of his generation. His sudden death was a huge loss for the entire cello community and an irreparable loss for his friends, colleagues, students, and admirers of his work.

Alexander Buzlov was one of the most talented artists of his

generation, Mstislav Rostropovich called him "cellist number one in the

21st century." CelloQwest will not only be a tribute to the memory of an outstanding master, but will also provide an opportunity to discover new names in the field of cello art.

The project is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.

Moscow. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, Conference Hall. 05/27/2025.
