We invite you to a concert dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the master of Soviet jazz Georgy Garanyan.

On June 13, the first concert of the tour of the Krasnodar Georgy Garanyan Big Band took place in the Small Hall of the State Kremlin Palace, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the founder of the group and a real idol of a whole generation of jazz fans.

The leader of the Melodiya Ensemble, saxophonist and composer Georgy Garanyan, is remembered by the public for his music for films like “The Diamond Arm” and “We are from Jazz.” The big band he founded is one of the leading bands in our country. Creative individuality, a wide stylistic palette and high performing level allow the orchestra to remain a noticeable phenomenon in the world jazz community.

In the Kremlin Palace, the Big Band of Georgy Garanyan, conducted by Yuri Krasilnikov, presented works from the Soviet films “Gentlemen of Fortune” and “The Diamond Arm”, a medley on the themes of songs by “The Beatles”, jazz interpretations of famous Russian and foreign songs.
