Modern Musical Map of Russia. Ethnic Sound

Description

The Moscow stage of the All-Russian festival "Modern Musical Map of Russia" will be held from September 8 to 11, 2025. The stage will feature four concerts that will be performed for the first time, as well as 89 musical works created by composers from each subject of the Russian Federation specifically for this large-scale project. The Moscow stage will be the central event of the festival, where all the created works will be performed by the country's leading groups.

The first concert, "Ethnic Sounding", will be presented on September 8. Its program will feature works created using folk instruments and ethnic themes.

The "Modern Musical Map of Russia" project was created with the aim of preserving and updating the national academic performing arts and folk art of Russia, developing composer schools and building strong interregional cultural ties. For several months, composers from all 89 regions of the country worked on creating musical "calling cards" - works up to 4 minutes long, reflecting the spirit, history, symbolism and cultural diversity of their small homeland.

The project is being implemented by the Foundation for Innovative Development of Culture, Education, and Science (FIRKON) with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.
