Modern Musical Map of Russia. Musical Power of Siberia and the Far East
From September 8 to 11, 2025, the Moscow stage of the All-Russian festival "Modern Musical Map of Russia" was held. As part of the stage, four concerts were performed for the first time, and 89 musical works were recorded, created by composers from each subject of the Russian Federation specifically for this large-scale project. The Moscow stage became the central event of the festival, where all the created works were performed by the leading groups of the country.
The final, fourth, concert of the Moscow stage "Musical Power of Siberia and the Far East", dedicated to the music of the Siberian and Far Eastern regions, was held on September 11.
The project "Modern Musical Map of Russia" was created with the aim of preserving and updating the national academic performing arts and folk art of Russia, developing composer schools and building strong interregional cultural ties. For several months, composers from all 89 regions of the country worked on creating musical "calling cards" - pieces up to 4 minutes long that reflect the spirit, history, symbolism and cultural diversity of their small homeland.
The project is being implemented by the Foundation for Innovative Development of Culture, Education and Science (FIRKON) with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.
