
Schubert. The Ninth Symphony
The St. Petersburg Governor's Symphony Orchestra, led by Anton Lubchenko, will perform Franz Schubert's grandiose creation, the Ninth Symphony, which is often referred to as the "Big One."
The composition, first performed eleven years after the composer's death, made a huge impression on the audience. Much later, Pyotr Tchaikovsky commented on Schubert's Ninth Symphony as follows: "A gigantic work, distinguished by its enormous size and the enormous power and wealth of inspiration invested in it."
