Pushkin's Ball

Description

On June 30, the Pushkin Ball dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin was held in Gostiny Dvor, which took place as part of the final of the International Youth Competition of Designers, Fashion Designers and theater Artists for the best costume inspired by the heroes of the works of the great Russian poet.

The audience of the Pushkin Ball saw:

– luxurious costumes and the atmosphere of the Pushkin era;

– dancing to the sounds of classical music;

– performance of the symphony orchestra;

– small talk and games;

– exhibition of unique items: books with autographs and drawings of the poet from a private collection;

– ballet;

– Pushkin's poetry performed by movie and theater stars;

– opera.

As well as recreating the era of the jubilee ball held in St. Petersburg on May 27, 1899 in honor of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin.

5. Potpourri on Pushkin themes performed by the laureate of international competitions Alice Sadikova (harpist USA-Russia)

6. Waltz from A.P. Petrov's ballet "Pushkin"

7. Fragment from R. Glier's ballet "The Bronze Horseman"

8. The aria of the Swan Princess from the opera by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov "The Tale of Tsar Saltan"

9. Lensky's aria from P.I. Tchaikovsky's opera "Eugene Onegin"

10. Aleko's aria from S.V. Rachmaninov's opera "Gypsies" based on the poem of the same name by A.S. Pushkin

11. Herman's Aria and Lisa and Polina's duet from Tchaikovsky's opera The Queen of Spades

12. Aria from the opera by M.P. Mussorgsky "Boris Godunov"

13. Music by A.S. Arensky to the poem by A.S. Pushkin "The Fountain of Bakhchisarai"

16. The romance of G.V. Sviridov from the film "Blizzard" based on the novel of the same name by A.S. Pushkin

17. S.V. Rachmaninov's romance "Don't sing, beauty, in front of me"

18. The Polish polonaise from the opera by M.P. Mussorgsky "Boris Godunov"

19. V. Vlasov's romance "The Fountain of the Bakhchisarai Palace", performed by the invited soloist of the Mariinsky Theater Anastasia Shapovalova

20. The number "Piazolla and Pushkin", performed by the laureate of international competitions Vladimir Rozanov

21. The finale of Tchaikovsky's solemn overture "1812" (with bells and cannons) – with a general bow from all performers on stage and fireworks made of golden confetti

The hosts of the ball: Russian theater and film actor, singer, film director, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Dmitry Dyuzhev and theater and film actress, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Ekaterina Guseva.

The host and hostess of the ball: Russian pop artist of the spoken genre, TV presenter, poet, film actor, singer, Comedy Club host Pavel Volya and successful businesswoman, popular TV presenter, model Laysan Utyasheva.
