Anniversary Concert of the Orpheus Radio Symphony Orchestra

In the Hall of Columns of the House of Unions, colleagues and fans congratulate the Orpheus Radio Symphony Orchestra. A team of brilliant professionals is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The festive concert absorbed all the richness of the musicians' repertoire: the best examples of world classics, works by domestic composers.

The kaleidoscope of masterpieces includes works by Tchaikovsky and Borodin, Khachaturian and Sviridov, Bizet, Verdi, Massenet. The whole list of great names is difficult to enumerate. Opera arias are sung by academic stage stars Polina Shamaeva and Olga Ionova, Askar Abdrazakov, Dmitry Cheblykov and Mark Kim. The talented violinist Sergei Pospelov shares his art with the public.

The special mission of the Symphony Orchestra is the revival of lost music pieces and is presented at the evening with the works of the innovator of the Soviet period, Leonid Polovinkin.

Another important page of the orchestra's work is film melodies. The concert features compositions by the leading figure of the genre, Eduard Artemiev.

The theatrical experience of the team is developed in cooperation with the Kremlin Ballet Theatre. The guests of the celebration listen to fragments of the recent premiere - Alexei Shelygin's music for the choreographic extravaganza "The Toy Seller" based on the novel by Viktor Dobrosotsky.

Honored Artist of Russia Sergei Kondrashev conducts the jubilee anthology. A gifted maestro, a student of great masters Mark Ermler and Gennady Rozhdestvensky, heads a creative community of first-class professionals - the Orpheus Radio Symphony Orchestra.
