Lecture by Gibran Yacoub "In Search of the Secrets of Sound"

From March 27 to March 30, 2025, the Moscow musical theater "Helikon-Opera" will host the III All-Russian Cello Academy - an educational event for professional performers, students and graduates of musical educational institutions in the cello class. This year it is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of V. Berlinsky.

The Academy will include 13 open master classes of famous cellists, reports by professionals on topics relevant to musicians and a final concert with the participation of all teachers and students who took part in the master classes of the Academy.

On March 27 at 13:30 in the Blue Hall there was a lecture by speaker Gibran Yacoub.

Cellist and violin maker Gibran Yacoub lives in Germany, but his musical instruments are played all over the world. More than fifty cellos and a huge number of violins have elevated him to the Olympus of the musical craft. Classical foundations and his own special technique allow us to speak of him as an original master.
