Diary of the III Interregional Open Competition of Performers on Stringed Instruments named after V. Ya. Shpet. Interview with Vladimir Aksamentov

The 3rd Interregional Open Competition for Performers on String Instruments named after V. Ya. Shpet will be held in Omsk from February 7 to 15, 2026, as part of the "Omsk – Cultural Capital of Russia – 2026" program.

In anticipation of this event, the Orpheus Media Platform presents interviews with the competition jury members and past laureates.

Our guest in the studio is Vladimir Georgievich Aksamentov, a jury member, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, and a teacher at the E. F. Svetlanov Children's Art School No. 6 in Omsk.

Vilgelm Yakovlevich Shpet is a Siberian educator who has trained several generations of professional musicians working throughout Russia and abroad.

The competition is organized to improve the performance skills of students in additional pre-professional and vocational educational institutions and to identify and support talented and gifted young musicians.
