Diary of the III Interregional Open Competition of Performers on Stringed Instruments named after V. Ya. Shpet. Interview with Graf Murzha

The 3rd Interregional Open Competition for Performers on String Instruments named after V. Ya. Shpet will be held in Omsk from February 7 to 15, 2026, as part of the "Omsk – Cultural Capital of Russia – 2026" program.

In anticipation of this event, the Orpheus Media Platform presents interviews with the Competition jury members and past laureates.

Our guest in the studio is Count Shandorovich Murzha, Chairman of the Competition Jury, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, violinist, and teacher at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

Vilgelm Yakovlevich Shpet is a Siberian educator who has trained several generations of professional musicians working throughout Russia and abroad.

The competition is organized to enhance the performance skills of students in additional pre-professional and vocational educational institutions and to identify and support talented and gifted young musicians.
