Lecture by Gabriel Gibran Yacoub

From March 26 to 29, 2026, the Moscow Helikon Opera Music Theatre will host the IV All-Russian Cello Academy—an educational event for professional cello performers, students, and graduates of music schools.

The academy will feature open masterclasses by renowned cellists, lectures by professionals on topics relevant to musicians, and a final concert featuring all the teachers and students who participated in the academy's masterclasses.

On March 27, a lecture was given by Gabriel Gibran Yacoub,

a cellist, cultural figure, instrument maker, restorer, and curator of musical instruments for the Daniel Barenboim Foundation and Spectrum Concerts in Berlin, the Barenboim-Said Foundation in Seville, the Rostropovich Foundation in Vilnius, and the New Names Foundation and the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation in Moscow.
