V International Festival of Classical Art "Caspian Seasons". Opening

From August 19 to 30, the V International Festival of Classical Art "Caspian Seasons" was held in Astrakhan. Performances by renowned opera masters, ballet dancers, and famous musicians took place at various venues in the city.

The grand opening of the festival took place on August 22 at the Cathedral Square of the Astrakhan Kremlin.

The concert was the largest in the history of the "Caspian Seasons".

The stage featured the Symphony Orchestra of the Caspian States under the direction of People's Artist of Kabardino-Balkaria Mikhail Golikov, as well as opera masters: Honored Artist of Russia, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation Ildar Abdrazakov (bass); Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, leading soloist of the Mariinsky Theater Ekaterina Semenchuk (mezzo-soprano); soloist of the Mariinsky Theater, guest soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia Magerram Guseinov (bass-baritone); soloist of the Hamburg State Opera, guest soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia Dovlet Nurgeldyev (Turkmenistan) (tenor); Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, leading soloist of the State Opera and Ballet Theatre "Astana Opera" Saltanat Akhmetova (soprano) and Iranian violinist, laureate of international competitions Amin Ghafari. In addition, soloists of the Mariinsky Theatre, laureates of international competitions - Alexandra Sergeeva and Svetlana Savelyeva performed on stage.

One of the key features of the festival was an innovative solution - a mirror composite. This unique technique was first presented not only at the Caspian Seasons festival, but also in Russia as a whole. Modern technology, consisting of 8,000 strips - mirror lamellas, will create a truly incredible effect.

An additional decoration was the luxurious 3D projections that transformed the Assumption and Trinity Cathedrals of the Astrakhan Kremlin.

The director of the project is Irina Gaudasinskaya (St. Petersburg), a laureate of international competitions.

The artistic director of the festival is Mikhail Golikov.

The festival was held with the support of the government of the Astrakhan region.
