Elena Obraztsova Foundation presents the concert opera "Carmen" by Georges Bizet within the framework of the jubilee program dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the singer.

"Carmen" was one of Elena Obraztsova's favorite operas. This image of its main character captured her so much that on stage she was completely subordinated to the spirit of improvisation. Elena Obraztsova was recognized as "the best Carmen in the world", "the most subtle and faithful exponent of Bizet's artistic conception" at the festival in Barcelona, ​​dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the creation of the opera.

"Carmen" is the only opera that I don’t sing, it sings through me”, said Elena Obraztsova.
