Justus Franz is a world-famous conductor and pianist.

He collaborated with the greatest conductors of the 20th century - Herbert von Karajan, Leonard Bernstein, Georg Solti, Bernard Haitink and others, with the world's leading symphony orchestras and outstanding soloists.

Justus Franz is the founder and long-time director of the Schleswig-Holstein Festival, today one of the largest European forums for classical music. In addition, he was at the origins of several other outstanding festivals in Germany - in particular, in Rheingau and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

One of the most important areas of the musician's activity is education. Justus Franz is the author and host of a series of programs about classical music on German television.

For half a century, the musician has discovered new names, supported young talents - he establishes prizes and awards, invites young performers to joint creative projects.

Throughout his career, Justus Franz has been closely connected with Russia. He gave hundreds of concerts as a pianist and conductor in cities of the USSR and Russia, stood at the conductor's desk of leading philharmonic ensembles and opera houses from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok, participated in all major Russian music festivals, educational projects, and was a member of the piano jury of the International Tchaikovsky Competition.
