Description

Novosibirsk Academic Symphony Orchestra has long gained fame outside of Siberia and has become a cultural asset not only of Novosibirsk, the Siberian region, but also of Russia as a whole. The orchestra has come a long creative way and, according to numerous reviews from outstanding musicians, critics and the public both in the country and abroad, has won a leading place in the hierarchy of symphony orchestras in Russia.

The team, created in 1956 by People's Artist of the USSR, Professor Arnold Katz and led by him until his death in January 2007, received the title "Academic" in 1982, in 2006 for high achievements in the field of art and in connection with its 50th anniversary The orchestra was awarded the Order of Lomonosov, received the title of laureate of the Golden Key 2022 Philharmonic Prize for its special contribution to the development of culture and art in the Novosibirsk region and in connection with its 65th anniversary.
